Event: Cirque du Soleil Kooza 2010 – The Great Park, Irvine and Del Mar Fairgrounds, San Diego (January 8 & February 25, 2010)

Venue: Great Park, Irvine & Del Mar Fair Grounds, San Diego

Audience: 2,500 people in an open audience venue – the local community, media and Cirque du Soleil enthusiasts.

Objective: To provide interactive characters as a captivating performance team, before show time and during intermission, to entertain guests.

Solution: Cirque du Soleil Kooza highlights the physical demands of human performance and is set in an exhilarating and unusual visual world filled with zany surprises and audience involvement. Skyline Events produced five interactive characters with custom costuming for both the Irvine and San Diego show. The characters included stilt walkers and choreographed dancers as well as a paparazzo characters to photograph the guests as they entered the event.

The characters handed out individually wrapped gerbera daisies to all children, woman and senior citizens as a welcoming gift to the show. Skyline Events also provided a blue, custom carpet treatment for a grand entrance to the performance tent.

Results:  Guests were continuously wowed by the magic of Cirque and their excitement was ignited pre-performance and carried through to the moment they left the venue. The success of both evenings was seeing the smiles on attendees’ faces.
